Why Bentonite Clay Is in PowderDent: A Question From My Dentist

“Do you know what one of the best natural substances for cleaning teeth is?”

My dentist asked me that one day, and I started guessing…

I’m lucky to have a wonderful dentist. After years of trying different ones, he helped me restore my teeth and gave me a smile I truly love. He always has an interesting story to tell.

His answer that day: bentonite clay.

Formed from altered volcanic ash, bentonite is gently abrasive and naturally absorbent, and clays like it have been part of oral-cleaning traditions for generations.

I didn’t forget his words. When I started developing my own tooth powder, bentonite clay earned its place in the formula.

That conversation was one of the moments that shaped PowderDent. 🌿

Have you ever heard of brushing with clay?
